We are a full-service animal hospital providing comprehensive pet healthcare services in Dupont, WA. Our veterinarians offer a wide variety of medical, surgical and dental services. Our hospital has advanced equipment and technologies, including comprehensive in-house testing for accurate diagnosis, digital x-ray, surgical suite, dental suite, and a pharmacy. We are committed to providing quality care at every stage of your pet's life. From routine preventive care to early detection and treatment of a wide range of conditions and diseases, we have the expertise to provide the highest standard of care for your pet. We also serve Olympia, Tacoma, Parkland, Lacey, Lakewood, Anderson Island, Steilacoom and JBLM.

Jonathan Baker, DVM
Doctor
Dr. Baker was born and raised in Pocatello, Idaho. He completed his undergraduate degree at Idaho State University and is a proud 2014 graduate from Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine. (GO COUGS!!!) He has a strong interest in business and surgery but also really loves getting to know his clients and patients. He lives in Lakewood with his beautiful wife (also a veterinarian), daughter Alexis, 8 furry children – 4 dogs (Dante, Achilles, Jarvis and Molly), and 4 cats (Saravi, Kallyope, Arya, and Varo), 1 scaly child (Benny Boo the bearded Dragon), and a Tarantula (Persephone). Outside of the Veterinary field Dr. Baker has many other interests including: Superheroes, board games, video games, automotive sports, and wood working and is an avid football fan (GO COUGS!!! GO HAWKS!!!).

Laura Fisher, DVM
Doctor
Dr. Fisher was born in Columbus, OH, but lived in Florida for the majority of her life. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Tampa in 2005 and then her doctorate in veterinary medicine from the University of Florida in 2009. Go Gators! With a desire for a cooler climate and to be closer to the mountains, she moved across the country to Washington at the end of 2017. Dr Fisher now resides in Lacey and shares her home with 3 cats (a Tuxedo named Max, a Siamese named Emma, and a mischievous orange boy named Quentin). Her veterinary interests are focused in internal medicine and outside of work she enjoys cooking, reading, and anything that gets her outside.

Alisa Brossoit, DVM
Doctor
Dr. Brossoit-Baker (or “Dr. B”) was born and raised in Western Washington and grew up right down the road in Tumwater. She graduated from Seattle Pacific University with degrees in both biology and chemistry, and graduated from veterinary school at Washington State University (GO COUGS!) in 2014. Dr. B met her husband, Jonathan Baker, during the first week of veterinary school and have been working alongside each other in the veterinary field ever since. She has a deep love for surgery and internal medicine, but also has a strong passion for fostering the Patient-Client-Veterinary bond and relationship with each of the families she works with. Dr. B and her family have a small menagerie of 4 legged family members, including 4 dogs (Molly, Jarvis, Achilles and Riley), 5 cats (Saravi, Kallyope, Arya, Varro and Baby Yoda) and even a bearded dragon (Benny Boo). Dr. B lives locally with her husband Dr. Baker, their daughter and son (coming soon in July, 2022!). In her spare time, Dr. B enjoys spending quality time with her family and pets, hiking, playing board games, painting and rooting for WSU Cougar Football and the Seahawks.

Dr. Kyle Blomberg
Doctor
Dr. Blomberg is very excited to be a part of the DuPont Veterinary Center Team. He was born in Baltimore Maryland. He grew up in a military family and lived in many different places. The longest time he spent living in a single location was Pullman, WA. He lived there for eight years in total while attending school at Washington State University. He completed his undergraduate degree in Wildlife Ecology and then went on to graduate from the Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2022.
He currently lives in Lacey with his cat, a grey tabby named Cuvier, and is now closer to family. He has a strong interest in different veterinary topics and has a special interest in topics relating to pain management and supplementation to limit the impacts of chronic diseases. Outside of veterinary medicine, his hobbies include; video games, tabletop games, cooking, baking, and hiking.

Jerry
Office Manager
Jerry is our Hospital Manager at DuPont Veterinary Center. He is an entrepreneur, big dreamer, and sleep enthusiast. He reads books frequently, enjoys outdoor activities, and plays video games when he’s feeling lazy. He started in the veterinary industry in 2012 as a business associate at Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He has worked in the Puget Sound area at a few veterinary clinics since 2016. He prides himself as being “the only morning person in the clinic.” Jerry has a background in Business, Leadership, and Psychology.
Jerry is always doing what he can to keep the hospital growing. Providing the best care and making sure the team loves coming to work every day are his two main goals. Jerry currently has no pets, but loves animals.

Kelsie
Licensed Vet Technician
Kelsie is a Technician at DuPont Veterinary Center. She graduated with her associates degree at the same time as she graduated high school, then went to WSU to pursue her bachelor’s degree, graduating in 2014. After discovering her true passion for helping animals, she decided to go back to school to soon become a Licensed Veterinary Technician. She prides herself on being an advocate for your pet, and giving them a voice since they can’t speak for themselves. She is always the first to say “yes” to taking on new challenges. Researching and learning about new discoveries/techniques in the veterinary field is important to her. Kelsie has been working in the veterinary industry since early 2016, starting as a receptionist then quickly moving to a veterinary assistant role so she could be more hands-on with animal care. She has worked closely with Dr. Baker since starting in the field, then following him to DVC when we opened in 2017. When she isn’t working or studying, she enjoys spending time with her pets and her family, hiking, cooking, and thrift shopping.
Kelsie’s pets include Lua, and Kaio. Lua is a spunky, intelligent, 4-year-old Blue Heeler mix who is full of attitude. Kaio is a playful and simple Red Heeler rescue with a lot of love to give.

Andrea
Licensed Vet Technician
Andrea Macdonald is one of our Licensed Veterinary Technicians at DuPont Vet Center. Andrea has been a veterinary technician for over 25 years and continues to love her work. While the majority of her experience has been working in small community practices with domestic animals like cats and dogs (she spent most of her life living with both), her career has also included working with large animals (horses, cows) and exotic animals (mountain lions, monkeys, porcupines, birds, reptiles). Her career in veterinary medicine has included time teaching and working for the Department of Homeland Security. She graduated with a BS in Veterinary Technology from Mount Ida College in Massachusetts and is licensed in the state of Washington.

Nicole
Technician
Nicole moved from the south suburbs of Chicago and started at DVC in November 2019. She was working on a degree in Fire Science Management and realized while working at DuPont Vet Center that she wanted to pursue her passion for animals. She is currently working on becoming an LVT at Penn Foster. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, gardening, and spending time with her husband and animals. Her family includes her adventure-loving cat Stan Lee, her goofball German Shepherd/Husky Fury, her rambunctious kitten Rhodey, and her carpet python Gamora (She’s a Marvel fanatic as well!). She is looking forward to many years in the veterinary field and is loving every minute of learning at DVC.

Ashley S
Doctor's Assistant
Ashley is one of the new team members at DuPont Veterinary Center. She was born and raised in Central Florida, and animals have always been her life. Growing up she was active in 4-H and FFA and knew she wanted a professional career involving animals. After completing Animal Behavior Colleges’ Veterinary Assistant program, she gained some experience in the veterinary field. This experience helped her run a successful pet sitting business in Central Texas, as well as being the Lead Kennel Technician at a local boarding facility here in Washington. She has 2 children and has been married for 10 years. When she’s not working, she enjoys horseback riding, doing research on various things, hanging out with her family and pets.
Ashley’s pets include: Bogan the Therapy Dog, 3 cats: ButtScratch, Peter & Buster, 2 guinea pigs: PigPig & Zelda.

Doctor's Assistant
Sarah is one of the new team members at DuPont Veterinary Center. She has always loved working with animals. Most of her jobs have pertained to animals in some way. She was born and raised in South Florida, where she met her husband. She is owned by 2 dogs (Lugar and Niko) and 2 cats (Tiki and Nugget). She enjoys coffee, cooking, fishing, the outdoors, and spending time with her husband and furkids.

Ateecia
Vet Assistant
Ateecia has been living in the DuPont area for 15 years and loves giving back to her community. She is a huge advocate for animals. She is super excited to be able to offer her help here at Dupont Veterinary Center and looks forward to meeting all the wonderful pets that are sent her way. Her goal is to go to school to further her knowledge for animals. She currently has two Bullies, Cleo and Gremmi, who she spends all her extra free time with. She took this opportunity to be able to learn anything she can, and apply it to anyone who needs help.

Mercedes
Client Liason
Mercedes is one of the Client Liaison’s here at DVC. She earned her Associates Degree in Medical Assisting in 2015. She has 2 kids and has been married to her husband for 12 years. In her down time she enjoys crafting, cooking and more crafting. Mercedes is passionate about working with kids, and animals. She is also passionate about serving others. She volunteers at events with her husband’s unit and has participated in the Family Readiness Group. Mercedes and her family moved here 6 months ago, before moving to JBLM she worked in the classroom with kindergartners and preschoolers. When they moved here she brought Montana, a 6yr old German Shepherd mix, here to establish care and then became a member of our team shortly after. In June, they added Phoenix, a Siberian Husky puppy. Mercedes also takes pride in her work ethic. She enjoys being challenged and setting difficult goals for herself.

Brandy
Client Liason
Brandy moved here from Hermann, MO, where her family has cows, goats, a peacock, and a donkey. Brandy and her husband, Jesse have 2 dogs and a cat. She enjoys reading, fishing, hunting, travel, and spending time with her family. She is a U.S. Army veteran of 11 years. She is currently going to school to finish a dual bachelors in English and Criminal Justice.
